ECTOH

The ECToH program will be a mix of types of presentations. We are aiming for an informative and interesting, but also for an interactive program. The forms of the sessions and symposia will be decided upon the received abstracts for oral presentations and posters presentations and proposals for symposia and their possibilities. You are challenged to submit interactive symposia and abstracts.

For example:
Symposium
A symposium is a broad concept of many possibilities: with a range from an interactive workshop to 5 oral presentations discussing the same topic. One person is responsible/initiator of the symposium and will search for interesting co-authors. The first step is to submit a symposium proposal giving a global description of the symposium and its elements (deadline September 3rd). When accepted by the Scientific Committee, they will contact the first author (before September 28th) to describe in more detail the content and set up of the symposium (deadline October 29th). We strongly encourage to already embedding interactivity in the symposium.

Session
We expect to receive many individual abstracts for oral and poster presentation (deadline October 29th). The Scientific Committee will evaluate these abstracts and the accepted abstracts will be combined into complete sessions. All main authors will be informed before December 7th if their abstract is accepted or unfortunately is not accepted. Sessions will then exist of presentations of related, complementary, or a combination of theory/science based and practice abstracts. When possible, we integrate interactive possibilities in these sessions.

Meet the expert
As already mentioned, the ECToH organizers aim to present an interactive program. We strongly encourage that tobacco control experts can learn from each other and benefit from each other’s experience. Not only in oral presentations, but for instance through meet the expert sessions/symposia where specific questions can be asked to experts, or where there is plenty time for discussion and questions.
