BIZEL Pierre Gilbert – MSc, MPH, PMHSc – is currently President and Founder of OXY Belgium, a Brussels-based NGO dedicated to the prevention of cancers, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.

Coming from a clinical practice, he has been Director of Studies at National Federation of Wards of the Nation France, Researcher at School of Public Health UCL Brussels, Project Director at National Institute for the Promotion of Health Education France, Director of the Health Education Department at Provincial Institute for Health Promotion, Belgium, Head of Lifestyle Habits, Health Observatory, Belgium, Founder and President of OXY Belgium

He subsequently developed his activity in public health through the prevention of non-communicable diseases. The fight against tobacco and nicotine products is for thirty years at the heart of his professional career. Vice-president and treasurer of the European Network for Smoking and tobacco Prevention (ENSP) for twelve years, consultant at the Belgian Superior Health Council, he has initiated and led numerous European tobacco control projects and publications.
