Mapping corporate projects for smoking cessation and health promotion

In this section companies can report projects, initiatives, or corporate programs aimed at supporting smoking cessation, protecting employees’ health, and promoting smoke- and nicotine-free workplaces.

 

Companies, organizations, and foundations are invited to share their experiences and best practices. The submitted projects will be presented during the conference in a dedicated session, during which awards will also be given to the companies most active in the fight against smoking. All participating companies will have the opportunity to sign the ECToH Milan 2026 Manifesto, which will help define guidelines and recommendations for European prevention policies.

Purpose

This Call for Projects aims to identify, collect, and map innovative projects and initiatives that address smoking cessation in the workplace. The objective is to create an overview of current practices and models implemented by companies and organizations that promote health, well-being, and smoke-free work environments.

The mapping will serve to:

· Identify and share the most effective experiences implemented by companies.

· Foster the creation of a community of enterprises committed to employee well-being.

· Promote dialogue between the private sector, institutions, and public health stakeholders.

· Provide insights for future strategies and prevention policies addressing smoking in professional settings.

Eligible Projects

We are looking for proposals and case studies that:

· Promote smoking cessation among employees, through support programs, counselling, or incentive schemes;

· Encourage the creation of tobacco- and nicotine-free workplaces;

· Integrate health protection and well-being into corporate plans or internal welfare systems;

· Raise staff awareness through information campaigns, training activities, or internal communication initiatives;

· Describe a process of organizational or cultural change, even in its early or pilot phase;

· Are based on evidence or best practices and include elements of sustainability and replicability.

Target participants

· Public and private companies of any size or sector

· Organizations and foundations engaged in promoting workplace health

· Social cooperatives and enterprises with corporate welfare or health programs

· Public bodies and public-private partnerships promoting healthy work environments.

Application Process

Interested organizations must submit their application by January 31, 2026, through the online form available here.

Applications must include:

· Description of the project or initiative (objectives, target audience, methodology, activities)

· Work plan or timeline

· Information about the organization and any partners involved

· (Optional) Data or evidence on observed impacts
