Suzanne has worked with the Advocacy team in the Irish Cancer Society for nearly 5 years, keeping cancer on the Government’s agenda and lobbying on behalf of cancer patients and their loved ones. In her role, Suzanne campaigns on a range of topics including access to financial products and services, the real costs of cancer, as well as advocating for further regulation on novel nicotine products and tobacco. In October 2024, the Irish Cancer Society’s ‘Leave our Leave’ campaign led to legislative change in Ireland allowing for women diagnosed with serious illness during maternity leave to postpone their leave until after their treatment.
