Alba is a public health advocate with a background in law and political science, driven by the idea that health policy must serve to restore the social contract. She’s a big proponent of breaking down silos in the field, convinced that we can only protect the public interest if we actually work together across sectors. Her career in Brussels started at the European Parliament, followed by an EIT Food Fellowship at EuroFIR, where she dove into food composition and Open Science. She also spent time as a Policy Manager at the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA), focusing on healthy environments. Today, Alba is a senior policy officer at the Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL), working on cancer prevention. On the technical side, Alba holds a BA in Law and Political Sciences, an MA in European Studies, and an ML in Legal Practice. Alba is a member of the Technical Advisory Group on Brand Marketing of the World Health Organisation.
