He holds a master’s degree in public health and a master’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine.
He joined the Convention Secretariat in November 2007, where he has worked in a variety of areas, especially in the coordination of reporting by the Parties, but also in managing working and expert groups established by the Conference of the Parties. Since 2010, he has been increasingly involved in assisting national governments in their implementation of the WHO FCTC and the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products, by leading country missions and promoting reporting and information exchange. He is also responsible for the management of the WHO FCTC Knowledge Hubs, another mechanism for assisting the Parties.
He currently serves as the team lead of Reporting and Knowledge Management in the Convention Secretariat.
