Her academic background includes a degree in Languages and Cultural Studies from the University of West London and a Postgraduate Course in Health Sector Management at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan. She is further enhancing her profile with a Degree in Psychological Sciences.
She has been leading the antismoking programme for LILT Milan for the past 15 years and has co-authored a number of publications on tobacco prevention among youth, culturally adapted health promotion for ethnic minorities, and participatory educational methods in public health. She has presented her research at major international scientific conferences and in 2021 contributed to the development of the National Oncology Plan at the Italian Ministry of Health as a member of LILT Committee.
She currently serves as Vice President and Board Member of the Association of European Cancer Leagues (ECL), and is an active member of the Scientific Committee for ECToH (2023 and 2026 editions), the Steering Committee, and the Tobacco Control Working Group.
Daniela Giangreco has been invited as a guest lecturer at several universities and master’s programmes, including Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Università degli Studi di Milano and Sole24Ore Business School in Rome.
Her contributions to public health have been acknowledged through awards such as the EU Health Award (2021) and Gilead Community Award (2023).
